The Secret to a Bump free Bikini Line
Razor burn. Ingrowns. Dryness. Irritation. We’ve all been there. But how do you treat those pesky bumps in your pubic area?
I’ve found that these few tips are key to reducing irritation from shaving 🪒
Changing your razor blades
Shaving with a dull razor? No Thanks. That’s a one way ticket to nicks, bumps & irritation. Make sure you’re changing out your razor head or blade on a regular basis. I’ve found that switching to a straight edge razor like the Safety razor from Upcircle also helps you get a closer shave. It’s also plastic free, so it’s better for the environment 😉
Use Shaving Cream!
Okay, we’re all guilty of dry shaving with just water every once in a while in desperate situations, but doesn’t it burrrn? Soo, shaving cream. 10/10 recommend. And you know what shaving cream I love? That’s right, Fur.
This shave cream is so soft & dreamy, your razor will glide effortlessly across your skin. It’s super moisturizing with ingredients like aloe & olive oil and is formulated for even your most sensitive areas - from your face, to your pubic area to your toes - let’s hear it for toe hairs!
After Care
This is the absolute most important step. You have to care for your skin!
✨Remember to exfoliate
Using a gentle scrub after you shave helps buff away dead skin cells and reduce ingrowns before they can even start. I love True Grit & Silk Scrub for that - super gentle & safe for your pubic area. It also leaves your skin feeling super smooth & radiant, you’ll want to show it off 😉
✨ Moisturize
Hydrating your skin is key. When it comes to the pubic area, I normally go for an oil like the Rejuvenating Botanical Oil from lady suite. It’s packed with natural goodness & fatty acids that add moisture, fight ingrowns, bumps and blemishes. The ingrown concentrate from Fur is a great option for treating ingrowns & trouble areas. It comes with a cute little finger mitt so you can target areas that need some extra love and exfoliation, then follow up with the oil to spot treat. The ingrown concentrate is formulated with natural oils like coconut, tamanu & tea tree that penetrate the follicle, soften hair and speed up the healing process.
With the right recipe of products & a little extra care, you will be rocking your bump free bikini line in no time 💕
